Jason Alba - my pleasure. Keep writing content worth linking to, and I'll keep sending people your way! Brand-Yourself.com is going to give a series of webinars about building your personal brand online, with a large portion devoted to using LinkedIn effectively. Let me know if you're interested in sponsoring our webinar series - for example, we could give away your "LinkedIn for Job Seekers - the DVD" to one lucky webinar viewer and promote you as our Gold sponsor. (I ask because we're expecting a lot of people with a direct interest in learning advanced LinkedIn tactics and strategies - your direct target market).

Meg, you should be proud of your excellent eBook, "Executive Branding and Your LinkedIn Profile." Readers, download it here: http://budurl.com/mra5.

Yinka, totally agree. Personal branding came from corporate branding, and personal brand auditing came from corporate brand auditing. We're bringing power from corporate back down to the individual!

Tillman, a volatile job market makes it important to build your personal brand whether or not you're currently employed. Aggressive auditing/updating of your profile will also increase your ability to bring value to your current employer (http://ezinearticles.com/?Benefits-of-a-Business-That-Allows-Personal-Branding&id=2742993) because clients, business partners, customers, vendors, etc. who Google you will have more of a reason to trust you.

I would definitely update your profile and if eyebrows rise, suggest to management that they audit their own profiles. Regardless of industry, people are using the web to find out more about you and the people that run your business. A LinkedIn audit is important for people at every stage of their career.

Imran, glad to hear you liked my tip about putting your LI public profile URL in your email signature.

Oscar, great to hear you're using social media effectively. It's fundamentally changing the way we communicate, as individuals and businesses!

Barry, I would LOVE to see your formal tool for evaluating the effectiveness of your LinkedIn profile for job search. Shoot me an email at pkistler@brand-yourself.com or give me a ring at 339-225-1665. That's definitely something I could promote to my network for you. Sounds like a very valuable tool!

Hi Pete, I'm a behaviourist, branding and body language expert, based in London and have my first book coming out at the end of the year. Really pleased to see others helping people build their personal brands! I'm coming over to the States next year and would be really interested in fixing a time to meet up to exchange ideas. Hope we can connect. Carole
