It may even be faster in advanced countries but most underdeveloped or developing countries in Asia, Africa etc will require longer time to catch up. Because even as at now the web awareness is just picking up unlike in most advanced countries. Only that we must keep on emphasing the advantage so people can embrace the web advantage.
