It should be held up more as an incredible example of value destruction than anything else.  Yes, it&#039;s an iconic brand.  But management has absolutely wasted it.

High Hefner has definitely become a brand in his own right.
I also think he has &#039;humanized&#039; the brand too. People either love or hate him but I think having a person really adds to the culture of the brand.
