Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

I have always dowplayed the "job" and focused on the "career".

Thanks for the tip on LinkedIN not knowing you could change the profile heading.

Agree.... Check out the book "Not Intuitively Obvious - Transition to the Professional Work Environment" at:

learning that which is expected yet unspoken is a key to success. Learning the arts of expectation fulfillment and perception management is the road leading to achievement. The branding part happens along the way.

Thank you for this: A simple concept, but not intuitively obvious to many of us, especially when we're in search mode.

I definitely agree about your thoughts about the difference of a job and a career. Career wouldn't be established overtime. It is like creating an expertise in a particular field by following a certain path.

"It’s not where you are, it’s where you’re going."

This statement should be given a thought by people who wanted to be successful with their chosen career. Some of us loose attention of our plans for the future because of the comfort we are experiencing right now. The cure for failure is a great blueprint of what you want to be exactly and how you will do it hereafter.ss
