    You’ve probably spent the last few years working on your LinkedIn profile (if not–you should probably get on that…) So, when you saw that new position or opportunity that sounded like a perfect fit, and were asked for a resume–an actual document–you thought, “when am I going to find the time to build a new resume?”

    Instead of leaving your perfectly groomed LinkedIn profile out there to fend for itself, utilize it to the fullest. Here are two easy ways to create a resume and present your personal brand:

    1. LinkedIn: Visit the resume.linkedinlabs.com/, pick a resume template, customize the content to make it most relevant for the position and print or share your new resume.
    2. Visualizeme.com: If the opportunity calls for more creativity, sign up for Visualize.me and create your own personal info graphic. Visualize.me allows users to…well, visualize their resume, including education, qualifications and experience. You can highlight your accomplishments, social media connections, Klout score, and awards and honors–anything you can put into your LinkedIn profile is fair game for this one-click resource. Visualize.me will automatically pull data from your profile to create a picturesque view of your personal brand. Since recruiters often say resume reading is less than exciting, this is an innovative way to stand out from the crowd and get noticed. This application is currently in beta (launched in June), but with the huge number of sign-up requests they’ve received (over 16,000 in the first two weeks), Visualize.me is sure to become more mainstream in the blink of an eye.

    Some recruiters have suggested submitting a resume document and info graphic together to maintain a traditional feel while boosting your technical and creative credibility.
